Restoration of Coop 1W (Information Kiosk) and Entrance

Coop 1W, located next to the parking lot, would make the perfect location for a weekend and evening information kiosk for new visitors.  Before we can start direct visitors to the coop, it needs to be sealed, painted, and cleaned up a little.  The perfect project to support either financially or physically.

Exterior work for this project includes adding a fresh cost of white paint, landscaping around our entrance with native plants, moving the dumpster a little further away from the coop and hiding it from the view or the road with a 3-sided enclosure, and landscaping around the coop. The landscaping will leave a path to reach the western buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis) seed beds.

Interior work for this project includes cleaning out and sealing the coop, adding interior walls and flooring, and creating the informational displays for visitors to look at and read.

Funds from Coupeville Festival Association have been secured to help with the exterior work of this project.
