Additional Resources

 Landowners

Looking to enhance or restore a native prairie ecosystem on your property?

The Prairie Landowner Guide for Western Washington, written by Sara Noland and Laurel Carver with major contributions from The Nature Conservancy, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and ESA, has great information on techniques to prepare the land, native species, and the history and importance of prairie landscapes.  It is, however, 115 pages, and weighted toward south-sound prairies.

We are able to provide region-specific insight based on our experience and the experiences of other landowners on Whidbey, whom we have advised on establishing native prairie patches or meadows on their property.
